"desires dictate our priorities,
priorities shape our choices,
and choices determine our actions."
I was reading this talk today,
by Elder Dallin H. Oaks titled "Desire"
after a member of the Stake Presidency
spoke in Sacrament on how we need to
look at our desires and see how they align
(or if they do not align) with God's will.
Heavenly Father has a plan for me.
His plan for me is more important
than the one I think I could make for myself.
Of course, I have desires to finish school,
marry in the temple, raise children in the Gospel,
but I have to put my faith and trust in the Lord
and make sure my plans for my life
align with His plan for me.
That being, I need to trust the Lord's
timing for my life.
I know the majority of my friends
that take a look at my blog are LDS,
so I hope they take this post to heart
as well and really consider what the Lord
has in store for you.
I know that if we do that,
our lives are tremendously happier.
Knowing that if I continue to do what
the Lord wants me to do,
I am happier.
To my friends that read this post
that are not Latter-day Saints,
I hope this post doesn't come off
as "preachy-preachy."
Those are not my intentions at all.
I am simply sharing my love
for my Father in Heaven
and His plan for me.
He has a plan for all of His children.
We are ALL His children.
He loves us and wants the best
for each and every one of us.
Happy Sunday! :)
A video to brighten your day :)
