Oh Happy Day!

Well, it's General Conference weekend.

I love this time of year.

We, as members of the

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,

have the opportunity to hear from our wonderful

church leader as they give us messages of

peace, love, and hope.

I love the spiritual rejuvenation

I feel when I listen to the messages

from our dear Church leaders.

This conference has started off especially fantastic.

In his opening remarks, President Thomas S. Monson

began announcing three new Temples that would be built.

He started off...

"Fort Collins, Colorado...

Meridian, Idaho..."

And then, as I was saying in my head over and over again,

"Winnipeg, Manitoba,"

President Monson announced the final Temple to begin

construction this year...

"And....Winnipeg, Manitoba - Canada."

I literally started jumping up and down and

shouting for joy. A Temple in my home stake!

Oh happy day :)

Growing up, we used to have to travel

6-8 hours to attend the Temple,

and it was sometimes hard to plan Temple trips.

With Winnipeg, Manitoba being the center location

for our stake, I am absolutely ecstatic about having

a Temple in my home stake.

The Lord really knows the needs of the members

of the Church, and He knows we needed this temple.

I am so happy!!

I love this gospel, and I love the Church.

I am so excited to see the Temple in Winnipeg :)

 This is the Regina, Saskatchewan LDS Temple.

I'm assuming the Winnipeg Temple

will look much similar to this.
